Terms and Conditions
The rules for using the platform: exactly what you buy, what we expect from you, what we don't promise and how we resolve a disagreement.
Last updated: October 13, 2026
1. Who we are and what you accept
This platform is operated by Amethyst Therapy Services Inc. ("Amethyst" or "we"), a Florida corporation with its mailing address at 2421 NW 10th Ave, Apt 104, Miami, FL 33127. It includes the Behavioral Intelligence Learning Institute (exam preparation), a digital resource store, and professional and administrative services.
By creating an account, buying or using the platform, you accept these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy, which are part of them. If you don't agree, don't use the platform.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.
2. What the Institute is (and isn't)
The Behavioral Intelligence Learning Institute offers only exam preparation and professional development programs.
- It is not a university or a licensed postsecondary institution, and it does not grant degrees, diplomas or academic credit.
- It is not verified coursework (VCS), it does not count as supervised fieldwork hours, and it does not award BACB CEUs or PDUs, unless a course expressly says so and is issued by a BACB-authorized provider.
- Completion certificates show that you completed the content. They are not a credential or a professional license.
- RBT® and BCBA® certifications are granted only by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board® (BACB®), which does not review, approve or endorse this content. We are not affiliated with the BACB or its exam vendor.
- The BILP™, the Peak Protocol™ and the self-management kit (logs, contingency contract and values and anxiety sheet) are educational tools that guide your study. They are not clinical or diagnostic assessments, therapy or a mental health service.
- Our questions, mock exams and examples are original. They are not real exam questions.
3. Your account
You need an account to access the material. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for protecting your password and for everything that happens under your account; if you suspect unauthorized access, tell us right away.
Your account is personal and non-transferable. Sharing credentials so several people use one account is grounds for suspension without a refund.
4. What each purchase includes
Each product or service page states, before you pay, what it includes, what it costs and how it renews if it is a subscription. That description is part of these terms.
One-time payment Institute tracks
"Lifetime access" means access to your track for as long as the Institute offers it and your account is in good standing, including content updates to that track (for example, when the BACB publishes a new content outline). If we stop selling a track, people who already bought it keep their access. If we ever shut a track down permanently, we will give you at least 90 days' notice and free access to its successor or, if there is none, a downloadable copy of your history and results.
Monthly subscriptions
- They are charged in advance and renew automatically every month until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from your dashboard in two clicks, or by writing to us. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- There is no minimum term and no refund for partial periods, except as stated in the Refund Policy.
- The price you pay is locked while your subscription stays active: if we change the price, it only affects new subscriptions. If you subscribe during a promotion, you keep the discounted price while your subscription stays active. If you cancel and subscribe again, the price in effect that day applies.
- If a payment fails, we may pause access until it is resolved.
Digital resources
They are delivered as a download or by email as soon as the payment is processed. Each purchase includes a personal license; AMELIORATE™ includes a license for a single clinician. Documentation and appeal resources are educational materials, not legal advice: check every deadline and requirement against your own notice and the current provider manual.
Administrative services for providers
Account and profile setup (NPI, CAQH, Medicaid and similar).
- We handle the setup and data entry using the information you give us. You are responsible for making sure it is true and complete.
- Decisions, approvals and timelines depend on the relevant agencies and organizations. We don't guarantee them.
- These are not credentialing services or legal or tax advice: your attorney and your CPA are still yours.
- These services are not behavioral in nature and are not covered by Mara Sánchez's BACB® certification.
Notary services (Florida Notary Public)
Notarial acts are performed by Mara Karla Sánchez Pérez as a Florida Notary Public, in her personal capacity and under Florida law. Fees do not exceed those allowed by law, and any travel fee is disclosed and agreed in advance. We may decline a notarial act when the law requires it, for example if your identity cannot be verified. This service is not behavioral in nature and is not covered by Mara Sánchez's BACB® certification.
I AM NOT AN ATTORNEY LICENSED TO PRACTICE LAW IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA, AND I MAY NOT GIVE LEGAL ADVICE OR ACCEPT FEES FOR LEGAL ADVICE.
Behavior-analytic services
Parent coaching, consulting, assessments and supervision.
- Before we start, we sign a service agreement that sets out roles, scope, fees, cancellations, how and when services end, and how to file a complaint, including with the BACB. If that agreement and these terms conflict, the signed agreement controls.
- Services are provided by Mara Karla Sánchez Pérez, BCBA, within her scope of competence, in Florida and Texas. For other states or countries, we verify licensing requirements first and only accept the case if we can legally provide it.
- Supervision toward certification is provided under current BACB requirements and a signed supervision contract. Hours only count if they meet those requirements, and each party meets the tracking and documentation duties the BACB assigns to it.
- Nothing on the platform, in live sessions or in free content is clinical advice for a specific case.
5. Payments
- Payments are processed through Stripe, in US dollars, with applicable taxes based on your location.
- Price changes don't affect what you already paid for.
- If you think a charge is wrong, write to us before opening a dispute with your bank: we can almost always fix it faster. While a payment dispute is open, we may suspend access to the disputed product.
6. Refunds
Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy, which is part of these terms.
7. Intellectual property and use of the material
All content — text, questions, mock exams, flashcards, diagrams, templates, assessments, software and design — belongs to Amethyst Therapy Services Inc. or its licensors. The Amethyst Method™, BILP™, Peak Protocol™, AMELIORATE™ and our names and logos are trademarks of Amethyst. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for your own study or professional use, depending on the product.
- You may use it for your own preparation and keep copies for yourself.
- You may not resell, share, publish or translate it for others, or use it to train other people, without written permission.
- You may not copy or rebuild the question banks, scrape content, or use it to train artificial intelligence models.
- You may not record, capture or redistribute live sessions without permission.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the platform with no obligation to you. We will never publish your name, your story or a testimonial from you without your written consent.
8. Exam integrity and confidentiality
- Don't share real BACB exam questions you have seen or remembered on the platform, in sessions or in messages: doing so breaches your obligations to the BACB. If you do, we may remove that content and close your account without a refund.
- Don't share identifiable information about your clients in questions, sessions or messages. Discuss cases only anonymously.
9. Conduct
Treat other people with respect. Don't harass anyone, impersonate anyone, upload illegal or malicious content, or try to break the platform's security.
10. What we don't promise
This is training, not a guaranteed result. We don't promise you will pass the BACB exam: the outcome depends on your preparation and on an outside organization we don't control. Any results we show are illustrative.
The material is based on content published by the BACB and is updated when that content changes.
Nothing here is clinical, legal or tax advice for a specific case. Professional responsibility for your decisions is yours.
11. Third-party links and services
The platform links to or uses third-party services such as YouTube, Spotify, Stripe, Zoom and Google. Their use is governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.
12. Service availability
We aim to keep the platform available at all times, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or because of our providers. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
13. Suspending and closing accounts
We may suspend or close an account that shares credentials, redistributes the material, shares real exam questions, tries to break the platform's security or provides false information. We will give you notice first, unless a security or legal risk prevents it. In those cases there is no refund.
You can close your account at any time by writing to us.
14. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PLATFORM AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
15. Limitation of liability
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST REVENUE, OPPORTUNITIES OR DATA; AND (B) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO IT.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Amethyst Therapy Services Inc. and its officers from third-party claims caused by your breach of these terms or your misuse of the material.
17. Governing law and dispute resolution
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- Before taking any action, write to info@amethysttherapyservices.com or to our mailing address, explaining the problem and what you are asking for. Both parties will try in good faith to resolve it for 30 days.
- If it isn't resolved, any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida, or the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction. Either party may go to small claims court if the case qualifies.
- Claims must be brought individually, not as part of a class or representative action, to the extent permitted by law.
- JURY TRIAL WAIVER: TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AND AMETHYST WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM.
- If you live outside the United States, nothing here takes away the mandatory protections the consumer laws of your country of residence give you.
18. Electronic communications
You agree to receive notices, receipts and communications by email or within the platform, with the same effect as if they were in writing.
19. Language
These terms are published in English and Spanish. If the two versions differ, the English version controls, unless the law of your country requires otherwise.
20. General provisions
If any clause is found invalid, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a right doesn't waive it. These terms, together with the policies mentioned and any signed service agreement, are the entire agreement between you and Amethyst. We may assign these terms to a successor of the business; you may not assign them without our permission. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
21. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the platform at least 15 days before it affects you, and the date above will show the current version. Continuing to use the platform after that date means you accept the change. Changes never reduce what you already bought.
